Raw Photo Tours, for travellers who want to capture life.
Raw Photo Tours was born in Barcelona with the objective of offering full-on photographic experiences and the opportunity to submerge oneself into the culture of countries as attractive as Nepal. Its a photography tour agency aimed at those who love to discover new places, not as tourists, but as travellers.
An initiative of Christelle Enquist and photographer Jorge Delgado-Ureña, they offer their clients “genuine adventure-photographer experiences similar to those had by National Geographic photographers”.
Since its creation in October 2016, Raw Photo Tours has already organised two expeditions to Nepal, consisting of a maximum of 8 participants per group, the two founders and a Nepalese translator.
During the 11-days, Raw guides its travellers along a route that includes some of the country’s “must-see” places and other off the beaten track locations that are less accesible and where “one can document exceptional people and stories”. “What we teach during our tours goes beyond taking a pretty picture; not only do we want our clients to leave with incredible photographs, we also want these photographs to be a personal testament of their journey and that they leave with the knowledge of how to capture life”, explains Enquist, who just recently left her job as Client Director at branding agency Little Buddha.
The cost per traveller oscillates between 3.600 and 3.700 euros. The itinerary includes accommodation in Buddhist monasteries, traditional tea-houses and charming hotels. Raw Photo Tours donates 3% of its income to NGO Nepal Sonríe, helping rural villages that were affected by the earthquake to get back on their feet.
